“We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors,
we borrow it from our children.”
~Native American Proverb
It’s crazy to think about, but, in a few short years, our children will be adults and environmental decision makers. And keep in mind that the lessons we teach them now will have a big influence on whether our children become environmentally conscious adults. Teaching children to love and respect Mother Nature and the Earth they live on is one of the greatest gifts we can give: both to the children and our planet. The Educator’s Spin On It has compiled an amazing list of 100 ways to celebrate Earth Day with the young people in your life. It’s never too early (or too late) to get your children involved, and today is the perfect day to start! Whether you are looking for an Earth Day book, snack, craft or activity, I’m sure you’ll find one that you and your family will love.
Enjoy the day and I hope that you celebrate precious Mother Earth is a special way!
